Honey Lemon Basil Sauce

Makes 2/3 cup

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons dry white wine
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh basil*
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh lemon peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Combine all ingredients in small saucepan; mix well and bring to boil. Simmer 1 minute. *One teaspoon dried basil, crushed, may be substituted.
