Honey Ice Cream

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla

Heat milk but do not boil; stir in honey and salt. Stir small amount of hot liquid into eggs. Combine with milk mixture; cook while stirring over medium-low heat 5 minutes. Allow to cool thoroughly, then stir in heavy cream. Chill in refrigerator. Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s directions.


Serving Suggestion: Drizzle honey over ice cream and top with coarsely chopped pecans and cut fresh fruit.
